The Fence Industry “Hire a Hero” Veterans Employment Program                        The Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute (CLFMI) and the American Fence Association (AFA) have partnered to establish a “Hire a Hero” veterans employment program in the fence industry. The intent of this program is to encourage employers in the fence industry to reach out to military veterans as potential employees, with a special emphasis to be put on making employment opportunities available to those who have been injured or disabled while in the military service. CLFMI and AFA have developed this program in cooperation with the President’s National Hire Veterans Committee, a division of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans Employment and Training Service.
